Investments in technology-based innovative businesses with high growth potential

Primatec is a Fund focused on early stage innovative companies with high growth potential and resident in incubators and technology parks. The Fund emerged from FINEP´s “Inova Empresa” program.

Primatec will invest mainly in the following sectors: Information and Communication Technology (ICTs), Energy, Sustainability and Creative Economy. Companies and entrepreneurs who are part of incubators and technology parks or have graduated in the last 2 years undergo a careful selection process to choose the best opportunities.

In addition to obtaining relevant returns on invested capital, the Primatec Fund´s goal is widely develop national innovation ecosystem and entrepreneurship.

In order to bring together major Incubators and Technology Parks across the country the fund built the Primatec Network.

Through this network the investees companies will have the support of high-quality professionals to accelerate their growth. In practice, the Primatec Fund takes Venture Capital to the places where brazilian innovation is being hatched.

The Fund is headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, but it will have national coverage through the partnership established with the Incubators and Science Parks- Primatec Network- so as to be able to invest in companies inserted in each of the local innovation systems.
