
36 investments and 15 disinvestments in innovative technology based companies through the whole country
The Created Fund was created as a result of a public bid conducted by BNDES and won by Antera in association with Instituto Inovação. Criatec is a Seed Capital Fund that aims to achieve capital gains through long-term investments in early-stage companies with innovative profile.
Investors in the Criatec Fund are BNDES – Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social, with R$ 80 million comitted capital, and BNB – Banco do Nordeste do Brasil, with R$ 20 million commited capital.
With an investment limit of up to R$ 5 million per company, Criatec has invested in 36 innovative companies in 8 states.
In addition to the investments, Criatec actively participates in the companies management, providing strategic and managerial support to the entrepreneur, helping the team selection and training, setting the goals and monitoring the results. The method is hands-on and the purpose is to grow together. The Criatec portfolio has grown consistently above 60% per annum since 2008.
The fund´s tenur goes to November 2017, but it may be extended for another 5 years.
